In addition to volunteer tutoring, DCLC welcomes you to share your skills and interests to assist us in improving literacy levels in Delaware County. Find an area below that interests you; complet eand submit three volunteer forms (Volunteer Application, Results from the PA Criminal Background Check, and Media Consent Form), and then contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 610.876.4811 or volunteers@delcoliteracy.org.

Help with landscapingEvent Planning and Staffing

Contribute to the success of our ongoing fund-raising and community events. Volunteers are needed for the planning, organizing, staffing, and implementing of these events, so find a role that suits you and join the fun.

Event Sponsorship

Have an idea? Why not sponsor and plan that perfect event? We are open to your ideas and welcome your leadership. Or perhaps you can encourage local businesses to become sponsors of existing DCLC fund-raising events.

Fund-raising

DCLC is always looking for ways to raise the funds needed to keep our services available to all who need them. Your ideas, special skills, and/or motivation to assist in fund raising are always welcome.

Grant Writing

If you love to write, you may be able to help us apply for the many grants that are available to help fund literacy programs.

Handyperson or Horticulture Skills

Help us keep the inside and outside of the DCLC offices clean, pleasing to the eye, and functional by donating your fix-it or gardening skills.

Share your technology skillsOffice Assistance

If you have skills in organizing information, filing, word processing, and/or handling phones, you could lend a hand in the office on an as-needed or regular basis.

Outreach

Share the importance of literacy with the community by staffing a table at a community event, posting flyers, or developing new strategies for outreach and community relations.

Technology

If you have skills in networking, web-site maintenance, database development and maintenance, software training, or other technology areas, you could help DCLC use technology to make our services even more efficient and available.
